So doing some updating I came across this setting in the UEFI. My system is:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Mobo - well, why I am here
8GB memory
M.2 slot has Sammy 950 Pro
Drive D is a regular spinny
GTX 980Ti
In the 'Onboard Devices Configuration' there is an option to 'Enable' or 'Disable' the AsMedia USB 3.1 Battery Charging Support. Is this worth using at all? How much of a difference if on or off? I currently use one of the ports to power my cell, but I don;t see anything different with it on or off and the manual does not say anything other than have it on or off.
Just want to see if it is worth having it on. Maybe there is another setting that I have not found that works with this and maybe my cell will charge to 100% in 2 seconds? IDK so just asking for some details about the two settings.
Thanks
UPDATE: I just tried it with it off and it was charging my phone. Turned it on and still was charging my phone. Again, not sure what's the difference. Using the USB 3.1 Type C to my S8+
